Kenya: Malindi Musical Festival for Peace

Malindi residents were treated to an electrifying performance by Kenya's first lady of rap Nazizi, Afro-fusion star Eric Wainaina and top gospel rapper Juliani during the Malindi Musical Festival for Peace.

The trio performed to the frenzied crowd that had started trooping in from as early as 8am for the concert slated for 5pm. Wainaina took to the stage with his ever popular song Daima Mkenya, which resonated with the peace theme of the concert "Festival for peace" ,with residents singing word for word.

Not to be outdone hip hop first lady Nazizi and 2011 Chaguo la Teenies 'Best Live Performer' Juliani kept the crowd on its feet with their energised performance. The concert left Malindi residents yearning for more.
