Egypt: Mursi Advisor - Advisors Quit for Failing to Sway Mursi

All independent advisors of President Mohamed Mursi tendered their resignations after they failed to convince Mursi to backtrack on his constitutional decree, Ayman al-Sayad, one of Mursi's resigned advisors, said on Wednesday.

"We have been trying for a week, Saif Abdel Fattah, Amr al-Leithy Mohamed Saif al-Dawla and I. The president is not listening to any of our proposals," al-Sayad stated.

"There is no transparency or credibility and we have no idea who is running the country. We postponed announcing our resignations for a week," he added.
