Nigeria: Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Ready in Two Months - Works Minister

Abuja — Federal Government has assured that Julius Berger and Reynold Construction Company Limited, RCC, would deliver on Lagos-Ibadan expressway rehabilitation works within the next two months.

Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, who gave the assurance in Abuja, Wednesday, said the Federal Government was irrevocably committed to full reconstruction and rehabilitation of the expressway.

He said the emergency repair works and reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan dual carriageway sections I and II; Lagos to Shagamu interchange and Shagamu to Ibadan (Ojoo), would ease traffic in that axis during the festive season and beyond.

He said the Federal Government was not only intervening on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, but also Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Tegina-Kaduna Road, 9th Mile to Makurdi-Lafia to Abuja, among others.
