Gambia: Four Farmers Remanded At Janjangbureh Now Appear in Court

URR — The four youths namely Salifu Barrow, Alagie FantaTouray, Almamy Touray and Mamudou Touray all natives of Kuwonkunding in the Wuli West District who were remanded at the Janjanbureh prison,

on Monday 26th November, appeared at the Basse Magistrate's Court on Monday 3rd December. When the case was mentioned, the presiding magistrate Lamin Mbye adjourned the case to Thursday 6th December since according to him, the lawyers of the accused person was not in court. The presiding Magistrate then granted the following accused persons bail until Thursday.

Readers could recalled that the four youths were among the 17 farmers who were arrested and detained at the Basse police station that sent them to the remand wing of the Janjangbureh prison.
