Angola: Chess Federation's Meeting Approves Activities Report

Luanda — The General Assembly of the Angolan Chess Federation (FAX), held last weekend, approved by unanimity the activities report and the amended accounts report for the 2009-2012 period.

According to the final communiqué of the mentioned organ, which ANGOP received last Wednesday, the Assembly members decided to accept the documents produced by the federation's board and approved by the Supervision Council.

The Assembly also recommended the FAX chairman, Aguinaldo Jaime, to present a consensus list of names of a staff that should contest in the election for the institution's board, having into account the electoral deadlines given by the Youth and Sports Ministry.

The General Assembly has also appointed the Electoral Commission which is to be chaired by Carlos Alberto Nogueira da Silva, having also announced that the whole process must be finished by December 12, date in which the General Assembly for the 2013-2016 period must take place.
