Luanda — The Kissama Foundation launched last Wednesday, in the Kuzola shelter home, in Luanda, the children's story book entitled "Vari, a Incrível Palanca", in the ambit of the collection dubbed "Estórias para Conservar".
In a gratuitous way, the children at the shelter home were offered, as Christmas gift, a total of 200 copies of the book which speaks about the giant sable antelope, a rare species located in the Cangandala National Park, in the north-central province of Malanje.
"The objective behind launching it in Kuzola shelter home was to stimulate the liking for reading in those children and, at the same time, pass the message about the need to protect the environment and preserve nature", said to ANGOP one of the members of the Kissama Foundation, Vladmir Russo.
The texts of the book, which is in the comic-strip style, were written by the biologist Sandi Baptista.
