Zimbabwe: Coaching Clinic On

AS has become tradition, the BN Academy will resume their holiday soccer coaching clinics at Belgravia Sports Club as schools close for the end of the year. The first clinic will run from December 10 to 14 and the second would then continue from December 17 to 21.

The coaching clinic has been around since 1998 under the watchful eye of Bekhimpilo Nyoni, a renowned coach and instructor. Top-flight coaches like Monomotapa gaffer Biggie Zuze will assist in the clinincs.

The third phase comes after junior boys aged between seven and 19 years took part in April and August school holidays.

Nyoni said such clinics were the way to go if Zimbabwe was going to grow as a football powerhouse.

"The earlier you start working with the youngsters the better. The young players have to learn the basics at the earliest stage, this is how they do it in Brazil, Italy, England, Spain and other world football powerhouses," said Nyoni.
