Three men who were set free by unknown gunmen during a recent attack on the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) headquarters in Abuja have turned up at the headquarters of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) asking to be turned over to the police.
Executive Secretary of the Commission, Prof. Bem Angwe, said this yesterday while addressing newsmen in Abuja. Angwe said the men sought protection from the commission for an undertaking by the police not to maltreat them while in custody.
