Nigeria: 30 Military Officers Begin Post Service Training in Lagos

Lagos — The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) has commenced a post service training programme for senior military officer.

Flagging off the training, commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal Moses Akisanmi, said the programme is designed to prepare officers for retirement.

The programme is being organised by NAFRC and Empretec Nigeria Foundation.

Our correspondent reports that ENF is a private sector initiative of the United Nations and managed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) secretariat in Geneva.

The commandant said the post service training was informed by the fact that some officers are usually afraid of retirement due to the fact that they are either not prepared or not ready for life after service.

The programme, according to him, is designed to equip and prepare officers for the final face of their lives having served the country for 35 years."
