Maiduguri — The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno State yesterday alleged that the Boko Haram sect planned to attack military barracks in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Spokesman of the task force, Lt Col. Sagir Musa in an emailed message to newsmen in Maiduguri, said "information available to the Joint Task Force Operation Restore Order indicate clandestine plans by Boko Haram Terrorists(BHTs) to attack barracks in Maiduguri metropolis particularly the Headquarters 21 Armoured Brigade(Giwa Barracks)" Musa warned the sect that such exercise would be disastrous, counterproductive as it would massively jeopardize the security of their members in military custody.
