Angola: Amor E Arte Theatre Group Stages Beauty and Beast

Luanda — The Angolan theatre group Amor e Arte will perform on December 14, at the premises of the Angola League of Friendship and Solidarity with People Association (LAASP), in Luanda, the play "Beauty and the Beast".

In an interview to ANGOP, the director of the group, Mariza Júlio, informed that the play portrays the romantic story of a girl named Bela (beauty) and a boy named Miguel who was very ugly and was rejected by the people.

According to the source the play aims at encouraging the society to value and promote civic and moral values.

Mariza Júlio said that the play made the group win Samba district theatre award having announced that soon it will be presented at Luanda Provincce Theatre Festival.
