Tunisia: NCA Opposition Preparing No-Confidence Motion Against Government

Bardo — The opposition members in the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) are preparing to file a no-confidence motion against the Government and to call for disbanding the Revolution Protection Leagues, TAP news agency learnt.

Opposition NCA members held, on Wednesday behind closed doors, a working session which was devoted to looking into Tuesday's incidents in front of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) premises, to co-ordinate stands and actions to be undertaken, including calling for a no-confidence motion against the Government and dissolving of the Revolution Protection Leagues.

Sources close to the Democratic caucus in the NCA told TAP news agency that 67 constituent members signed, until Wednesday afternoon, filing of a motion of no-confidence against the Government.

The opposition caucuses will make known their positions and their demands, on Thursday, in a meeting with the press.
