Algeria, the United States and Colombia have made the greatest progress over the past decade in reducing the impact of terrorism, APS reported Tuesday (December 4th), citing a new survey of 158 countries. "Algeria has experienced a steady decline in terrorist operations from 109 in 2002 to only 15 in 2011," the Institute for Economics and Peace said.
The number of deaths also fell, the New York-based institute reported: from 500 in 2002 to 25 in 2011.
