Rwanda: Four Local Companies Raise Rwf77 Million for Agaciro

Employees of four locally based companies on Wednesday presented their respective cheques to the Ministry of Finance worth over Rwf77 million as their contribution towards Agaciro Development Fund (AgDF).

The donation was given by 296 staff of Rwanda Mountain Tea, Société Pétroliere LTD, Petrocom S.A.R.L as well as SP Aviation/Operation.

Patrick Shyaka Marara, the Accountant General at the ministry received the cheques, according to a statement.

On behalf of the companies' employees, Ephraim Turahirwa said that they were happy to go an extra mile and make their contribution to Agaciro Development Fund, trusting that their donation will be well managed.

Marara welcomed the contribution and thanked Rwandans for their continued support to the fund and took the opportunity to assure Rwandans that the Fund will be well managed as it was established for the people of Rwanda.

Launched in August, the fund aims at sourcing funds to finance development projects, as Rwandans strive to become self reliant. The fund has reached Rwf25 billion.
