ORGANISERS of the Miss East Africa beauty pageants have announced that a 100m/- prizes awaits top three winners.
However, Coordinator of the event, Rena Callist said yesterday that due to unforeseen circumstances, the finals earlier planned for today at the Mlimani City Hall has been pushed to December 21. The finals will see the winner walk away with a 30,000 US dollar prize including a brand new Mazda vehicle.
Callist said the overall winner will also get a 15,000 US dollar working contract with Miss East Africa Organization. The runner up will be awarded 2,000 US dollar cash and a one year working contract with the firm worth 6,000 US dollar. He said the third placed winner will walk away with 1,500 US dollar cash and 3,500 working contract with his firm.
Callist said the finalist who are in the country are from host Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan, Ethiopia, Malawi, Seychelles, South Sudan as well as those from France, Belgium and Netherlands. TANAPA, Ethiopian Airlines, DTP, Ako Catering, Darlings Hair, Seascape Hotel, Satguru and Clouds Fm are the event sponsors.
