It was all about shopping, merry making and giving back at this year's 36th edition Christmas Fair extravaganza that was held last weekend at Nairobi's Ngong Race Course.
Organised by Christmas Trust, the fair began in 1976 in Langata Garden and is always marked in the beginning of December.
It creates a platform where exhibitors showcase handmade Kenyan crafts and its proceeds go to charitable organisations projects. These include Karen Street Children an education and medical care centre for needy children, orphanages and the Nairobi Hospice. According to one of the fair trustees, Gai Cullen, this year's event was quite big and and was glad that the weather favoured them.
