Egypt: Ex-Attorney General Appointed Head of Cairo Court of Appeals

Judge Abdel Maguid Mahmoud, former attorney general, was appointed on Thursday head of the Cairo Court of Appeals at his request and after the approval of the Supreme Judicial Council, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

President Mohamed Mursi issued last November a decree sacking Mahmoud from his post and appointing Judge Talaat Abdallah in his place.
