Nigeria: Delta Bans Blockade of Roads for Parties

Warri — Delta State Government is to commenced arrest of persons found barricading major roads in Warri, Uvwie and Udu Local Government Areas of the state.

This came as the government commenced massive destruction of illegal structures, caravans and store projections attached to main buildings.

State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Frank Omare, made this known in Warri yesterday during a press briefing.

He said the on-going demolition in the three council areas had the backing of the Ministry of Environment as directed by the state government.
