Nigeria: Osoba, Others for NUJ Awards

Lagos — Governor Adams Oshiomhole ofEdoState will deliver a lecture on "Nigeria Democracy and Insecurity: The Way Out" at this year's Press Week of the Lagos State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

The lecture, which comes up, Tuesday, at the Lagos Airport Hotel, is part of a week-long activities that will also see some icons in the media industry being honoured.

Among those to be honoured at the legends nite slated for Friday is the Publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Mr Sam Amuka, and the former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.

Others, according to a statement by Lagos NUJ Chairman, Mr Deji Elumoye, are former Governor of Lagos State, Chief Lateef Jakande and Oba Akran of Badagry, among others.

The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Dr Abdullahi Dikko Inde, will also deliver a lecture on "The Nigeria Customs Service: Poised for seamless takeover from concessionaires: An overview."
