Liberia: U.S. Gov't Grants Liberia U.S.$9.1 Million

The Government of the United States of America (USA) through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has granted the Government of Liberia (GOL) through the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) US$9.1 million for the expansion of electricity supply in Monrovia and its environs.

Under the agreement, the LEC is to expand the electricity grid in Monrovia - both downtown and along Tubman Boulevard in Sinkor.
