Nigeria: Council Boss Seeks Attention for Less Privileged

The Chairman of the Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Zakari Dobi, has called on wealthy Nigerians and those in position of authorities to always give special attention to the less privileged in rural communities.

The chairman, who was represented by the council's Supervisory Councilor for Education, Mohammed Kasimu, stated this during the inauguration of a rural empowering programme under 'Abuja Grassroot Association that was sponsored by Jumai Aduda Foundation. He noted that many less privileged in rural communities in the FCT have benefitted from the previous foundation's programmes, which included pilgrimage sponsorship to Saudi Arabia and Israel. The chairman assured of the council's readiness to support the foundation.
