Nigeria: Soldiers Launch House to House Search in Niger

Minna — Soldiers launched a house to house search in Maje village of Suleja local Government Area of Niger State on Wednesday. Daily Trust gathered that the soldiers started combing the village at around 8 pm which was later extended to Numba, a nearby area.

It was not yet clear on what informed the thorough search in the two neighboring villages, though there was a rumor of presence of a bomb making factory in Maje.

State police commissioner Mrs. Desire Nsirim said she was not aware of any operation in the area and that the police are not in joint patrol with any security agency in the state.
