Gambia: Minor Shake-Up At Health Ministry

The Daily Observer has reliably learnt of the removal of Dr Macky Taal and Omar Sey, permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretary technical respectively at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The two have now been replaced by Mrs Matty Bouy as permanent secretary and Dawda Ceesay as deputy permanent secretary technical.

Mrs Bouy, a seasoned educationist is no stranger to the Health Ministry as it was the first Ministry she served as permanent secretaryafter serving the Education Ministry for many years andheld the position ofRegional Education director at Region II. She was later moved to the Higher Education ministry as permanent secretary.

Meanwhile, Dawda Ceesay was the director of Planning and Information at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
