Eveready says its cost cutting measures have helped them get to a pretax profit of 69 million shillings for the year to the end of September from a loss in the previous financial year. A recovery in the shilling against the dollar also led to a gain of 50 million shillings.The firm had been reporting losses owing to rising costs and counterfeits.
