Algeria: Nation, EU Seal Energy Deal

After years of talking about a strategic energy deal, Algeria and the European Union finally reached an agreement Wednesday (December 5th) in Brussels, APS reported. The accord, to be signed in early 2013, is expected to open development opportunities in conventional and renewable energies, increase investments and enhance technical co-operation.

Algeria provides around 15% of European gas needs.
