The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) FC will be locking horns with the Kenya Armed Forces Football Club tomorrow, Saturday in their opening game at the ongoing African Military Cup in Abidjan, Ivory Coast at 3pm.
Twelve African military teams are competing in the tournament from the 3rd-17th December and the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) is in the same group with Kenya and Burkina Faso.
Speaking to Abdoulie Bah who is accompanying the team for West Coast Radio in Abidjan ahead of the game, head coach Alhagie Sey said the spirit is high in the team and they are optimistic of grabbing the three points against Kenya.
Lamin Colley, captain of the team, saidmorale is high among the players, despite sharing the same training ground and dormitories with the other teams. "We are fully ready and will try our best to win our first game tomorrow in order to stand strong," he added.
