Gambia: Manjai Coach Says Draw Was Fair Result

The head coach of the Manjai Kunda Super Nawettan team said a 1-1 draw against the Barra, Essau and Mayamba team was a fair result for both teams.

Omar Jobe was speaking to reporters shortly after the game that was played at the Serekunda West Mini-Stadium on Tuesday. He said both teams played very well adding that their opponent defended very well.

Manjai opened the scorings after a good cross from Sulayman Fatty found Amat Jangum unmarked in the area in the 14th minute. But 10 minutes later, Assan Njie of BEM equalised for his side with a fantastic shot outside the 18 yard box. BEM started the second half very well with an early chance when Assan Njie's one-on-one chance with the Manjai keeper was foiled by the net tender.

Despite the missed chances and being called underdogs, Boris Demba, head coach of the BEM team said they are of the same standard with the other teams.
