Angola: Official Points Out Ways of Reducing Professional Risks

Luanda — The Secretary of State for Public Administration, Labour and Social Security, Sebastião Lukinda, on Thursday here said that the development of a policy of safety health at workplace will contribute to the reduction of professional risks and labour accidents and professional diseases.

The official said so during the opening ceremony of the first seminar on safety and health at workplace, held by the Centre for Safety and Health at Workplace (CSST), in partnership with the Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security.

An improvement in working conditions will also result in an increase of the income and productivity of the employees.

"I believe that promoting safety and health at workplace for more productivity must be our motto", he said.

The event is being attended by provincial directors of Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security, officials of UNTA-CS, representatives of general inspection of labour, employers and among others.
