Angola: Athletics Federation Gets Akz 35.0 Million for Yearend Race

Luanda — The Angolan Athletics Federation (FAA) received AKZ 35.0 million to organize the 57th edition of the yearend race dubbed "Saint Sylvester2012", set for 31 December, in several streets of Luanda.

Speaking to Angop on Thursday in Luanda, FAA president, Carlos Rosa, said that from this amount, AKZ 23.0 million are from the Angolan state coffer and the other Money were given by the sponsor so as to support the competition, such as the handing over of prizes, food, accommodation and payment of staff on duty.

The winner in males category will be awarded AKZ 1.5 million, while in females class, the winner will receive AKZ 1.2 million.
