The foundation of the Vineta Sports Centre in Swakopmund will be rocked to its core this Saturday as the biggest boxing event of the year under the MTC Nestor Sunshine Academy takes center stage.

The event on Saturday promises to be an all-out affair of supreme bouts of pound to pound boxing.

At a press conference this week, founder and promoter of the academy, Nestor Tobias said the main bout, the WBO International Lightweight 12 round title match, between Paulus "The Hitman" Moses and Jeremias Castillo is one not to be missed as both fighters are well prepared for the match and are ready to put up a tantalizing show.

Besides the Hitman and Castillo fight, nine other bouts are also scheduled for the night. Seasoned campaigner Bethuel Tyson Uushona will take on Said Zungu of Tanzania, while African Boxer of the Year, Paulus "The Rock" Ambunda, will trade leather with Lukas Sakaria, Mathew Kandala, Abmerk Shiindju and Immanuel Prince Naindjala in what is more of a preparatory fight for bigger things to come.

The other draw cards for the night will be the hard hitting Wilbeforce Shihepo who comes up against Udiadia Mwahila from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Johannes Mwetupanga will fight it out with Amos Temfuna of Zambia, and Abraham Ndaendapo will take on Richard Muriri from Zimbabwe. The other international bout will be between Joseph Katenda who is pitted against Tinashe Madziwana also from Zimbabwe.

Namibian boxer, Onesmus Nekundi will take on compatriot, Johannes Gabriel, while Immanuel Andreki will fight Toivo Mukwendje, and Jason Mwashala will take on Lukas Handivele.

Also speaking at the press conference, the Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer at MTC, Tim Ekandjo, re-affirmed his company's faith in the Nestor Sunshine Academy that led to the mobile telecommunications giant to support boxing.

"Our belief in supporting sports is an unmatched one - that derives from the desire to do good for our communities and support in whatever way we can. We don't only believe in supporting sport, but recognise the great role that sport plays as a unifier, peacemaker and an agent for social change, and we are thrilled to know that the academy in no less than five months since signing the agreement has taken boxing to the people and far remote outlying areas."
