Angola: Economic Commission Recommends Training for Accountants

Luanda — The Cabinet Council's Economic Commission recommended on Thursday, in Luanda, training programmes for accountants and accounting experts as part of the National Staff Training Plan, in order to promote good practices of accountability in business.

This recommendation arose at the 5th Ordinary Session of the Economic Commission which was chaired by the head of the Executive, President José Eduardo dos Santos.

According to the press release provided after the meeting, the aim is to strengthen the measures underway, aimed at widening the tax base.

The collegial body was also briefed on preparation of the State Budget Draft for the year 2013, which ends in December, in which it is expected an increase in the resources for the social sector.

The commission also approved the amendments to the programming documents and recommended their presentation and discussion at the next Ordinary Session of the Cabinet Council, scheduled for 11th December of 2012.
