Angola: Releasing of 'The Oil & Gas Magazine Marked By Awards

Luanda — The releasing of "The Oil & Gas Year" magazine on Thursday here was marked by the award of institutions and individualities that was at limelight this year, in works towards the development of the sector, Angop has learnt.

Among them are the Vice-president of Angola, Manuel Vicente, considered the personality of the year for his performance in the managing board of the state Angola Oil Company (Sonangol) in 1999-2011, turning it into one of the most efficient firms in Africa and a reference one in the world.

On the ceremony, the Oil Ministry was distinguished as the best institution, the Catholic University was awarded prize of the best contribution in training of cadres.

The firm Porto Amboim Estaleiro is the best manufacturing company of the years, whereas Total E.P Angola is the best exploration and Production Company.

Esso Oil Company was awarded with Upstream prize.
