Angola: Ministry Focuses On Educational Reform

Luanda — The Ministry of Education developed during five-year period (2008- 2012 ), programmes and actions, whose implementation is centred on the programme of educational reform, restructuring of school inspection services.

This was said to Angop on Friday by the incumbent minister, Mpinda Simão during the meeting with social stakeholders.

According to him, the increase of school network with construction of education institutions, which permitted more access of children in education system, was among of other key aspects of the institution in the referred period.

Regarding aspects related to the improvement of the education quality, the official stressed two factors such as endogenous (desks, schools, books, training of teachers) and exogenous (participation of guardian in monitoring of children management of school institutions).

According to Mpinda Simão, the combination of the two factors can boost the good functioning of the system of Education and lead to the improvement of the education quality.
