Angolan Luis Gomes Sambo to Get Honoris Causa Title

Lisbon — WHO regonal director for Africa, Luis Gomes Sambo, will receive on 10 December the distinction of Doctor Honoris Cause by the University of Lisbon, Portugal, Angop has learnt.

A source of that institution says that the award means the recognition of Luis Sambo's excellent work and contribution to the regional medicine in Africa.

Luis Gomes Sambo is in his second term by leading the WHO regional organisation, after being elected in February 05, 2005.

He has a doctorship degree in management by the Hull University, UK.
