Egypt: Clashes Between Mursi Supporters, Opponents in Kafr Al-Sheikh

Clashes erupted on Friday between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Mursi in Kafr al-Sheikh, an Aswat Masriya eyewitness said.

Both parties clashed by exchanging gunfire and using bladed weapons, he added.

The clashes occurred in front of the Freedom and Justice Party headquarters in the city.

A state of panic prevailed and shops closed for the day, the witnesses stated.

There were no security men in sight, he added.
