Former Minister of State for Education, Hajia A'ishatu Dukku has been honoured with the fellowship of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi.
Dukku, according to the management of the institution, was honoured for her contribution to the nation's educational development.
Born 49 years ago in Dukku, Gombe State, Hajia Aishatu has spent her entire life in the education sector; learning, teaching and generally promoting the cause of education in her father land.
She started her sojourn in the education sector in 1970 when she was enrolled as a pupilin Central Primary School, Gombe from where she proceeded to Federal Government Girls' College Bauchi in 1976.
In 1982, the young and determined Aishatu gained admission into the Bayero University, Kano where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education in 1986.
Having successfully completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1987, she began a teaching career which spanned two decades, culminating into her appointment as Minister of Education in July, 2007.
