Luena — The deputy president of the ruling MPLA party, Roberto de Almeida, Saturday paid tribute to the heroes killed for the people's cause in Angola.
The official of the ruling party in Angola laid a wreath on the Monument of Peace in the capital of the eastern Moxico province, Luena, ahead of the mass activities to mark the festivities of the 56 years of foundation of the party.
The event will gather high figures of the party, civil society and religious entities.
At his arrival in Luena, Roberto de Almeida said that the party is celebrating one more anniversary in peace time.
MPLA was founded in Luanda on 10 December in 1956.
