President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud returned to Mogadishu after he had concluded his visit to Turkey where he held high level talks with the Turkish leaders including president Abdullah Gul and Prime minister Recab Tayib Erdogan.
The president has briefed local journalists at the airport about his meetings with the Turkish leaders, stating that the leaders of both nations have discussed how to strengthen bilateral relations including security cooperation.
Hassan Sheikh Mohamud told that he and the Turkish leaders have set eye to eye with all issues they talked and he thanked the Turkish government and its people for the good missions they implement in Somalia.
During his briefing at the airport for the journalists, the president also condemned the recent bombing attacks in the neighbouring country of Kenya. He particularly condemned the latest attack at a mosque in the predominantly Somali neighbourhood of Eastliegh in Nairobi which killed five civilians and wounded 13 others including a local MP who is a Somali origin.
The president sent a condolence message to the Kenyan leaders over the death of civilians in the latest bomb attack in Nairobi and he called for a full cooperation in the fight against such evil attacks.
