Kenya: Gilgil Police Shoot Dead M-Pesa Thief

Residents of Gema estate in Gilgil were subjected to a 30minute police and robber shoot out before police prevailed, a gun and two rounds of ammunition recovered.

Naivasha deputy OCPD Paul Korir said the man was behind a spate of Mpesa shop robberies in the town.

He said they recovered Sim cards and other mobile accessories and thanked the public for the tip-off that led them to the hide out.
