A certain man who was a chairman of a bank was forced to relinquish his position due to a feud. At age 52 he found himself with no job, with a family to cater for and other financial obligations, he became worried and desperate. His mind was filled with hatred for the men responsible for his dismissal. Eventually he lost hope as things became worse every passing day. At the verge of hopelessness, he realized that he needed wisdom on how to rescue himself from his present circumstance to a better one.
He decided to meet a counsellor who gave him some shrewd advice on what to do. "First you must empty out all hate. Pray for those men. Ill will corrodes the soul and impedes the channel through which spiritual and creative power flows." That was the first counsel. "That is hard, but I'll try" was his response. The counsellor gave his final advice, "Fear must come out. Put your problems confidently in God's hands and believe that He will guide you." The man followed the instructions diligently to the latter. Of course his conditions did not change overnight, in fact things became worse that he had to resort to picking berries in order to feed his family. However, change was set in motion as he persisted in his new way of thinking he could feel his joy coming back and he had peace of mind despite his condition. Prior to his financial downfall, he and his wife had grown apart due to the busyness of life but as they picked the berries together their marriage was raised to a higher level of love and affection as he came to appreciate and know his wife on a deeper level. The tide turned and the man became the head of a bank once again and a business consultant. As long as the man was filled with negative emotions of hatred, fear and despair, his world remained in shambles. But when he altered his emotions to a positive frequency, every aspect of his life began to take shape and he possessed balanced success. Therefore, you are constantly creating your life through your thoughts and feelings by the law of attraction.
The law of attraction states, "You become what you think about most of the time" and I hasten to add, you also become what you feel about most of the time. Thoughts (cause) creates everything we see or experience (effect) in our lives including our feelings. But our feelings show us what we are thinking. The easiest way to keep track of what we are thinking is by becoming aware of what we are feeling. It is impossible to feel bad while thinking good thoughts at the same time. Just as a bean seed can never produce cocoa; good thoughts can never produce bad feelings.
Our lives could be likened to a transmitting and receiving station; our thoughts determine the frequency and our feelings tell us the frequency we are on. Every time we send out sustained thoughts into the universe, our thoughts and feelings behind the thoughts goes forth and attract like thoughts and things on the same frequency with our thoughts and reflects it back to us. When we feel good, we attract good things into our lives; when we feel bad, we attract negative things into our lives.
Love is the greatest power in the world. The emotion of love is the greatest emotion that brings you into the highest state of consciousness which transforms your life into a masterpiece. If you think unkind thoughts about someone, those unkind thoughts will be reflected back into your life. That means if you try to harm someone with your thoughts you end up hurting yourself. But if you think thoughts of love towards everybody, you become invincible and possess incredible power that makes you feel good always, thereby attracting good things on a consistent basis into your life.
Another powerful emotion is gratitude. Gratitude is being thankful and appreciative of the blessings in our lives. Ingratitude repels the flow of blessings to us. If you want to live in a better house, be grateful that you are not homeless on the street. Keep a list and focus on things you should be grateful for and you will attract greater blessings to your life.
Ponder on the words of Marci Shimoff, "Once you begin to understand and truly master your thoughts and feelings, that's when you see how you create your own reality. That's where your freedom is, that's where all your power is."
