IEBC has attributed low voter turn out in Bomet East to confusion between voter registration and party membership registration. Area coordinator Abdikadir Sheik said residents think having been registered as a party member is guarantee that one will vote.
He said they have intensified voter education to correct this misunderstanding and put an end to the confusion.
