The day is finally here. Kenya and Uganda play the East and Central African Football Associations Challenge Cup final at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Namboole.
After years of mediocre performances that included two exits at the group stages a largely second string Harambee Stars has confounded friends and foes alike by reaching the final this afternoon.
Although the hosts start as favourites to keep the cup in Uganda, there is overwhelming optimism in the young Kenyans that this could be their moment to reverse a trend that has seen Uganda seeking their fourth title in five years.
