Financial Times Group began FTSE global launch index FTSEASEA with African Federation of Exchanges, which measures the computationally independent stock performance in the African markets.
The Director of Middle East and Africa FTSE Jonathan Cooper said that the new index will contribute in helping the African Union stock markets to achieve objectives such as facilitating the development of marketing of the products and services offered by the African markets.
