Dar es Salaam — The Angolan vice president, Manuel Vicente, Sunday in Dar Es Salaam, attended the celebrations of the 51st anniversary of the independence of Tanzania, on behalf of president José Eduardo dos Santos.The event that was presided over by the Tanzanian head of State, Jakaya Kikwete, included a parade of the various units of the local armed forces.
A music-cultural show was part of the celebrations that was witnessed by various prominent African entities.
Meanwhile, Manuel Vicente arrived Sunday afternoon in Luanda from Tanzania, where he attended the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern Africa Development Community(SADC).
The summit reviewed the military situation prevailing in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar and Zimbabwe.
