Out of the 29 events concluded in the athletics event of the 18th National Sports Festival tagged Eko 2012, Delta stood atop the medal table closely followed by Rivers.

So far, Delta has won nine gold, 11 sliver and five bronze medals, while Rivers has eight gold, five silver and eight bronze medals.

The host - Lagos is third with three gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

Cross River has two gold, three silver and one bronze medals, Benue has won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Other states with one gold are Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Enugu Abuja, and Plateau.
