Tunisia: NCA - Opposition Members Boycott PM's Address

Bardo — National Constituent Assembly (NCA) members boycotted, on Sunday, Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali's address at the extraordinary session held to present the national anti-corruption strategy, in the presence of the three presidents.

"Several members not belonging to the three-party coalition, including Mohamed Brahmi, Ahmed Khaskhoussi and Mohamed Ali Nasri, decided to boycott Mr. Jebali's address, as he had not appeared when summoned by the Assembly to question him about events in Siliana," Mr. Ahmed Khaskhoussi (MDS) said.

For his pat, Mr. Mohamed Brahmi (Chaab Movement) explained that the boycott is a protest against his "impudence towards the Constituent Assembly," specifying that they will examine the possibility of boycott each time the government and the Prime Minister are present in the Assembly.
