The death toll in the Malindi accident has risen to six after the driver of the bus succumbed to injuries in a Mombasa hospital.
The driver was trapped in the bus wreckage for several hours. In the accident, four special Administration Police unit RDU officers and a civilian were killed and over 40 others injured after the officers' truck collided head on with a mini-bus as they headed to Lamu from Mombasa.
