Irrigation Minister Mohamed Bahaa el-Din paid an inspection visit on Sunday 9/12/2012 to several projects in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Qena.
The visit aims at checking on the water facilities and irrigation networks in the governorate, the minister said.
This winter season, the ministry managed to provide water necessary to plant 30 mn feddans of wheat, he said.
The ministry has set aside LE 32 mn for irrigation projects in the governorate in the 2011-2012 fiscal year, he noted.
