Alhaji Dahiru Yusuf Yabo was Sokoto State Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Tourism and later that of Water Resources in the Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa-led administration from 2003 to 2007. He was the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) gubernatorial candidate for the last general elections before he was later substituted with Engineer Aliyu Yabo. Yabo says there will never be true peace in Nigeria until the parasite northern states start exploring their own oil resources.
