Angola: Sports Director Highlights Manucho's Importance

Lubango — The provincial director of sports in Huila Province, Francisco Barros, said last Sunday in Lubango that Angolans are anxious about the integration of the international player Manucho Gonçalves in the national football team that will participate in next year's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON2013), scheduled for January and February in South Africa.

Speaking to ANGOP, moments after the end of the "10 de Dezembro Tournament", which was won by the National Squad, the sports official recognized that Manucho Gonçalves is a "fundamental piece" for the team.

"He has started to win more space in the Spanish football and Europe in general (...)", he said.

Last Saturday, in the Spanish league, Manucho scored two goals for Valladolid, thus attracting more attention from football aficionados, especially those following the preparation of the Angolan national squad.
